Imagine crossing barren land under scorching heat with no sight of water or trees and that too not for a day or two but for ten long days, until one day when you hit the shores of Tso Moriri lake and it’s pristine blue color sooths your sun burnt soul and the green patches are retreat to your eyes, that’s Parang La. Parang La trek connects Spiti valley to Ladakh and use to serve as a famous trading route in the ancient time. The trail is pretty much deprived of any sort of vegetation and water but its different landscape, the barren land and the ferocious Pare Chu River never disappoints the traveller. The Parang La trek is unique and isolated and a must do once in a lifetime.
